Review: So, this drama got it's attention through the appearance of Kang Min-hyuk as well as Hyeri. However, there were a lot of disappointment from viewers. Many of which have complained that the first episode wasn't attractive enough to keep going. Some have declared it as "a show that throws a whole bunch of flower boys together". So, not too long ago I did post about iKON's upcoming comeback. Today is the day !!! iKON has come back with a groovy ballad-y type of song. This song reminded me of Big Bang's "Let's Not Fall in Love." Personally, I really enjoyed that song so I have no complaints with this. THIS IS FINALLY DONGHYUK'S TIME TO SHINE. I really enjoyed how he had more screen time as well as verses. However, the two shining characters would definitely be B.I. as well as Bobby. ((I once again have no complaints...)) With this drama, I was definitely able to find out more about makeup. At the end of every drama, there is a little clip on how to use their product correctly, which is a nice!! This drama definitely has an underlying theme of being true to oneself through makeup. I know in America, or where I live, there is that idea that if you wear makeup, you're not confident with your looks. I think that this drama disproves that. Instead, this web drama promotes the idea of being natural not only with make up, but with yourself. If you do decide to watch the drama, the ideas that they present are doing make up naturally instead of caking it onto one's face. Not only this, but through every episode, they were able to highlight the background of a beauty product and the best way to use it. ((cudos to innisfree for promoting like this)) There is a bit of a love triangle in this drama, and hint, I was a bit sad at how it turned out....... However, I really did enjoy this drama because I learned more about myself as well as how to use make up properly! I do definitely recommend this to beginners in make up !

YG has declared that there will be a new girl group with many undecided members. Miss A Jia has decided to terminate her contract with JYP while Miss A Fei is going to continue with JYP as well as following members. They will be working on solo promotions and individual work. 2NE1 Minzy has decided to terminate her contract with YGE and has moved to MusicWork Entertainment where Baek Ji-Young is. There is talk that 2NE1 will be having a summer comeback.
EXO has been said to have a comeback in the summer as well. SMTM 5 has been released (raw--without English subtitles) auditionees include CJamm, One, Reddy, g2, BeWhy and much more. There are once again, many idol rappers that would include JinJin from Astro and Jeunguk from 24k. AOA has comeback with a lifeguard theme this time around. However, their MV was taken down due to a Japanese brand being shown. It was later reuploaded.
So I do know that I am not posting a lot lately, but once again, I was mainly focused on studying for my AP Human Geography test (please let me get a 4 pleaseee.) So, lately I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for not being able to review dramas as quickly as I was. Due to AP testing and a whole bunch of tests in general, I'm not able to binge watch as I could. So, please pardon this HAHA. However, I have been watching variety shows such as: Sister Slam Dunk (watching on dramanice.to -- I can't find the real source and KBS isn't posting this series on their youtube, but if you have a "real way" to watch it pls comment and I'll change to that server!) I recently had watched an 8 episode mini series sponsored by innisfree, but I can't seem to remember the name (sorry!) -- but that was also on dramanice.to.
So, Subkulture has finally released that there will be an extended date for both NY and LA. (GOT7 FLY IN USA TOUR) However, this is raising questionability towards whether this is the right thing to do or not. Personally, as a fan who couldn't get tickets to the July 10th concert, I'm belated. However, it does bring up their health. Yes, their health is actually quite important and it's something that should be monitored at any given time. ((especially with JB and his spinal disk injury)) However, there are always two sides of the stories. With the massive amount of petitions being signed, the intention (for me to sign it) was to bring a larger venue or to simply change the organizer. (I did not intend for the idea of another concert date to be added) Many fans are accusing others for having bad intentions towards their idols, initially calling us, "bad fans." Many have said "If you like your idols that much, you wouldn't have done this to them." What I truly have to say about this is.... Sure, your opinions are all valid and the dates could have been added due to the petitions. BUT REMEMBER THIS IS SUBKULUTRE. SUBKULTURE DOES THIS TYPE OF THING. If you do recall, a similar scenario has happened to BTS with having greater mishaps which just ended in a big mess. Have you ever thought that Subkulture was intentionally adding these dates a week after... I mean Subkulture couldn't have planned this perfectly. Simply a week after the release dates for ticket buying, it just so happens that these additional dates are released. I mean petitions don't process to companies that quickly. I mean, big organizers like Subkulture would seemingly care less to what the public does, because they're making money anyways. I mean if Subkulture did really care, they wouldn't have treated BTS like trash and asked them to sit on the ground. Let's be real. Also, (once again bringing up their health) JYP isn't that stupid, they aren't known for overworking their artists. Unlike SM (EXO) or Source Music Entertainment (Gfriend), JYP has been able to stabilize the amount of events their artists go to. (I mean highkey JYP and YG don't send their artists to a lot of events.....) Sure, Jackson has been seen tired going to the Law of the Jungle, but what about other idols? Are they not tired as well. Fans need to understand that from a bare face, you can't tell that they're being overworked. I mean I have huge bags under my eyes, why don't people care, I'm not being overworked I'm simply going to school. YA JUST CAN'T ALWAYS SPECULATE THINGS FROM TINY MATTERS. Like if there's a rash on an idol's neck, it's bound to be called a hickey and that their idol got laid. LIKE PLEASE. Also, if you have seen all the interviews regarding what programs Jackson wants to be on, they simply have a choice to whether they want to go or not. Idols say that they would like to go on a program, and if the PD of that show likes them, then they're casted. I mean, idols have a say, in a way, to what programs they would like to attend. You could simply view variety shows as if it was a drama or movie. Idols are able to review which ones they want and simply if they like it, they go through casting. The big idea that should be shown to the massive amount of fans is that you should know the actual story/both sides of the story before you make any quick judgement. Neither you or me know, it's all a speculation. LIKE SERIOUSLY IF YOU KNOW THE STORY PLS TELL ME OR HAVE SUBKULTURE SPEAK UP ABOUT IT AND IF IT'S TRUE THEN MY ESSAY HERE IS USELESS TO TRY AND PROVE MY POINT.
So I've probably mentioned countless amounts of time regarding AKMU's comeback.....HOwever, they finally have comeback !! Their song is quite similar to LeeHi's My Star with a kinda funky-ish tune, but it'll definitely grow on you. This comeback, AKMU had a double single release, but both of the songs are upbeat and the MV suits its quite well as it's cutesy and refreshing. Please support the two and watch their MV and further support them!! (both of their MV and LeeHi's My Star will be below) -- I'm so proud of Suhyun for losing weight, I know it's must've been hard for her, but it has definitely payed off and she looks so much prettier!!--
Hehe so its almost 2 AM and I have to wake up around 9 AM to buy tickets for GOT7 (YAYYY #GETWELLSOONJB) buttttttt while I was on youtube, I ended up looking at this video. This video is mostly based on what ""white"" people think about Koreans who appear in Youtube videos. Thus, this is mostly a hate reaction video which caught my attention. Most of the things mentioned in this video is practically things that I experience in daily, as an Asian. I don't want to go too deep into this type of rant, but it's something that's becoming a bigger problem on social media. I'm not going to lie, their albums and songs haven't seem to fail fans and their constant production of high quality album covers are off the charts. BTS will be coming back (if not delayed) on May 7th. 2) TWICE
So, TWICE has recently comeback - ""competing"" against Lovelyz. I personally am a TWICE fan ever since Sixteen, but I'm not saying that I'm not a fan of Lovelyz. However, I find that there has been too many controversies that have been surrounding TWICE. Even after TWICE has released their album cover and song, many fans of other groups were quick to swarm and bash TWICE. I find that quite unresonable to nitpick at every little thing.

- First, there was a controversy that TWICE was copying Girl's Generation's cheerleading theme.
I feel like this is really safe to say, but many other groups have done the same concept. Not to mention, AOA, APink and considerably GFriend. Yes, Girls Generation is a "sunbae" of these other groups, but why weren't there any bashing on other groups?? Also, if you had watched the MV (which will be linked below) the MV isn't pertained to only the cheerleading concept, but in fact creates a more dimensional image.
- Second, TWICE's album cover had paper art in which it was a ripped paper and it showed the member's faces. There was this conversy that mentioned that TWICE was copying Block B. However, many other singers have also done this on their album covers and yet they were also not bashed. In fact, many pictorial magazines have done this. uhm....

3) SULLI
So, ever since Sulli has left f(x) there has definitely been rumors of Krystal leaving as she is following her sister, Jessica Jung's footsteps. I personally believe that ever since Sulli has left, the chances of f(x) breaking up is greater than what I have expected. (this is just a possibility not a stated fact) I wouldn't think that f(x) would go as a trio, but there is always a possibility that they might add a member. (remember this is only if Krystal does leave) BUT about Sulli, there has been quite the controversy because of Choiza (from DynamicDuo.) After posting some "19+ pictures" on Instagram, netizens are quite riled up. Personally, there are other people who wear more revealing clothing, but at the same time I feel like Sulli does it too excessively on her SNS. Yes, she is showing her love towards her boyfriend, but many people have found it excessive and well, disturbing. This is something that's quite different from American culture where possibly anything can happen, but it won't become such a controversy. It's not that I'm against her relationship with Choiza, but isn't the age gap a bit too big. BUT once again, this is her life and not ours. ALSO, a lot of people are asking SM to drop Sulli or don't renew the contract with her. There was a speculation (I'm not sure if it's true) that Sulli will be doing a bed scene with Kim Soo Hyun. Thus, this created a huge controversy and many neitzens have said that this suits her the best....

Review: This drama is considered in a way a short drama, but it definitely felt like a full drama. In just 3 hours, this drama pursued the idea of determination and set goals. Through the characters, mishaps do happen, but even with a disability, they were able to overcome them. For instance, one character may have a scarred memory from the past, they overcame the negativity of the public and continued with what they believed. The highlight of parental pressures gives insight to how a child does function. (If you're a parent, I would recommend you to watch this to see the different reactions with different parenting style, but then again: this is a drama so...) Anyways, I was able to ...
So today, April 19, both LeeHi and ZE:A J released their comeback song. Leehi's MV features One (from OnePunch) who is a new labelmate of YG. Her song is another cutesy pale video that conveys feelings. The song is quite different from most of her ballad songs, but this song is quite similar to "Hold my hand." For ZE:A's comeback song, this song is in Japanese. However, though there isn't as much promo to this song, the MV that is tagged along to the song is interested. Though it may seem like a hassle to listen to a 5 minutes song, but it's quite worth it. This song is a mix of a club type of song and a song that is comfortable. (in this way, I mean that the song is something that isn't quite EDM, but it's not a ballad either) disclaimer: the video may not be quite age appropriate for children under 13 LOL , but the skinship is off the charts in this video. This drama has been doing well with their ratings, as this is one of the biggest hits for KBS. The writer of this drama had also written Heirs which is known for Park Shin-hye and Lee Min-ho. If you haven't listened to the OSTs for this drama it will be linked here -->
Most of the songs are still currently in the top 20 on the Melon charts as it shows the greater success of this drama. I also want to address how many people are saying this drama is overrated, but in my opinion, this drama was actually really good and lived up to the hype.
Review:
First of all, this drama was probably the first drama that I have watched that pertained to the 'military' theme. In the beginning I was a bit worried to whether I would like this drama or not, but Song Joong Ki was too captivating. (He's will forever be my flower boy friends) In contrary, this drama well portrayed the struggles of the different working classes. The military, per say, contains much more than one would expect. Just a few moments ago, 1theK released Jeong Eunji's (APink) solo debut. The song is perfect for the spring as it's bright and cute. The song definitely had a different style and somewhat fit the image of Eunji. There is talk that Eunji will be 'fighting' with her group, APink.. However, I'm not sure if APink will be coming back or not..... however, let's just support both of them!!!!!! Eunji's song will be below along with APink's last song.
